My short seven months in Africa have been filled with joy and exciting adventures!
New friends.
New family.
New food.
New fruit.
New music.
New dance.
New words.
When June arrived, however, it became clear that my time here was up. Things that once made Africa unique suddenly became frustrating and borderline overwhelming. The dismal speed of the internet, above all else, is driving me up a wall.
For nearly two weeks, I’ve been entirely kicked off the web on my laptop with only intermittent access on my phone. Today, I find myself in a brief reprieve (which is why you’re getting this quick update!). I have much to share, yet this is increasingly difficult without a stable internet connection. Once I relocate to a new country with decent upload speeds, I have lots to share. LOTS!
For now, I’ll keep this short.
I hear TWO THINGS in the Spirit:
“My words will not be paywalled.”
For me, this means disconnecting the paid functionality of this blog, yet there is a direct cost to being obedient. Disconnecting the paywall automatically triggers a refund to all annual subscribers, so be on the lookout for funds coming your way soon!
I would disconnect it today if funds were available to refund my dear subscribers. There are quite a few of you! THANK YOU FOR THE ONGOING SUPPORT! Your gifts have been used to bless many here in The Gambia. And yet, I’m now being told to cancel this form of recurring revenue. Truly, HIS ways are not our ways!“Time to go.” I know where I’m called to go next. Those that text me regularly know that I’ve been speaking about the same country (Gobble, Gobble) since the first month I arrived in Africa. I’ve not shared any of those sweet whispers on this blog. …at least not yet.
I’ve known where I’m going next, however, the timing has not been certain … until now! It’s now clear that I need to arrive in the next destination next week. While I don’t yet have sufficient funds for the journey (nor any living expenses set aside once I arrive), I hear the Lord telling me that HE will make a way where there is no way.
I am at an interesting point in my journey where I’m all in.
I’ve risked it all to be obedient, and I will continue to press in to His promises. The next season will be exciting; I have so much to say! It’s bubbling up inside. There is an immediate need to get to a country where internet speed is not stifling my voice. To help in that endeavor, you can give here.
I don’t intend this blog to be a place where I’m always asking for funds. In fact, this must end. At one point, it seemed that this blog could be a simple form of recurring revenue to partially fund my travels, however, I no longer have ANY peace about that.
Please do not become a paid subscriber as I’m just going to refund you!
In the days, weeks and months ahead you will see this blog transform into:
A FREE blog filled with faith-building adventure stories
A relevant resource for timely messages that I “hear”
An entertaining update with regular weekly content
There’s an urgency to what I hear…
So, as soon as there are enough funds on hand to journey to the next destination and issue a refund, I will take immediate action.
Please pray for me.
Finances to take action
Clarity to share words I’m hearing
Strategy to deploy resources effectively
May God cover you with his blessings and love grant you a safe journey. ❤️
Lifting you up brother! God bless you!
